Forgive but Never Forget

It is time to say goodbye,
As I walk away I will attempt to hide my tears.
This day I will remember for the rest of my life,
As how my heart broke into a million little pieces.
Although I miss you every time I take a breath,
The way you words used to kill me inside is not easily forgotten.
But as time goes on I will forgive you, 
it's not your fault.
And I will just have to deal with the fact that we weren't meant to be,
And we never will be.
